I'm trying to write but not having much luck so bare with me. My left arm as been numb for about 24 hours now with combined chest pain, numbness/tingling in my legs and a back ache from hell. Wal-Mart screwed up, AGAIN and I have been without pain medication of ANY kind for over 3 days. So as I said before, bare with me; this is proving very difficult.
The idea I mentioned is a last straw move and has been spurred on my multiple cases from Care2.com, and Avvaz and others who actively lead donations rallies as well as try to swamp Corporate entities with letters to write wrongs; from an individual to a country. Here is one example:
[link]While I don't have the guts to contact someone like those groups I did realize something. If I/we could gather a large enough group of people from here, DA, wherever, who would be willing to write and -send- a letter on my behalf to the offices of ODAR, then perhaps they will stop dicking me around and no force me to wait another 8-18 months just to decide if my Disability case needs to go to court. I CAN NOT do this another 8-18 months. It's just not in me.
You can only take so much away from someone; from their pride; their sense of self reliance, before they become something...else. I don't have either of those things left in me anymore. And I haven't for some time. Almost all the information people would need to write to the offices of ODAR they already have, and have been using to write journals in DA and pleas for donations or assistance as it is. I would need to provide my legal name (Shaunalee M. McKean) and address Email me for physical address: woundedtears@gmail.com), which is where the huge trust thing comes in from me but this may be the only chance I've got to get the money that is coming to me and finally be able to change our lives.
ODAR as a corporation is a cold-hearted government agency that sees people as numbers wanting money and little more; however, we are not appealing to the corporation as a whole. We will be trying to flood their office to find those select few people who actually do give a damn and do have a heart and will take notice that hey; this gal needs serious help fast!
It's the only thing I can come up with. I am somewhat surprised no one came up with this or something like that link provided before, but I think it may be worth a shot. I don't have anything left so I don't have much to lose...the only question is...can we pull it off and find enough people willing to sacrifice a little time for me to write a letter, put a stamp on it and mail it?
